WINDOWS 10 UPDATE TO REDUCE SOME OF ITS SYSTEM APPS
Finally some of the preinstalled apps of windows will soon be allowed to be uninstalled by the latest windows 10 (14936), that is currently out for testing. It has been given a uninstall option for some of these applications, now users will be able to control what they want and what they don’t want on their system on windows 10.
Some apps such as Cortana can only be disabled, however according to Ghacks, microsoft are letting its users uninstall calendar, Groove music, Weather, maps, and mail.
Currently users who are on stable version of windows 10 are not able to uninstall the system apps using apps and features menu. It is likely microsoft will introduce this feature with the next feature update (Codename Redstone) which will be introduced in 2017.
If you open the mail and calendar app you will notice that the uninstall button is newly active, which means that you won’t have to remove the system app by powershell or by the use of any other application. A heartbreaking note is that you cannot uninstall a few stubborn apps such as Cortana, Alarm Clock, and camera.
Indeed some of us users are curious to know why Microsoft has not provided an explanation as to why certain apps couldn’t have been removed from windows 10 before the updated Windows 10 14936. There are theories that some of the apps are important parts to the operating system, these helps windows 10 to run.
